Sun Prairie Utilities requires a signed application when you apply for service. You can start the process by visiting our office, calling us at (608) 837-5500, or by completing the online form below.
Sun Prairie Utilities provides water and electric services and is the billing agent for the City of Sun Prairie’s sewer and storm water charges through the Wastewater Treatment Facility. Any one service request will include all applicable service changes at your location.
We do require at least one business day’s notice for special meter readings. Submission of this form constitutes your acceptance of responsibility for services provided by Sun Prairie Utilities. SPU services will be billed in your name until notice is provided to SPU to discontinue or transfer your service.
If you are moving out of Sun Prairie Utilities’ service area and need to close your account with us, please call us at (608) 837-5500 at least two business days in advance of your anticipated termination date. You can also complete the online form below.
When you submit the form, we will schedule a special meter reading on the date you end service to end your billing and to start billing the next tenants/owners who will be living at that location. We will send a final bill to your forwarding address. We are available for connects and disconnects Monday through Friday.
